St. Clair Largemouths?

Michigan's Lake St. Clair is nationally known for its jumbo smallmouths and for the giant muskies that cruise its clear, cool waters. Rarely discussed is a highly dependable largemouth fishery. Lake St. Clair guide Doug Cummings commonly visits predictable largemouth areas just to add fun and variety to smallmouth days, and the green fish almost never disappoint. Cummings doesn't recall any St. Clair tournaments being won on straight largemouth bags. Someone always finds a pod of the lake's jumbo smalllmouths. However, largemouths in the 2- to 4-pound range serve up fast action throughout the season. Cummings' favorite baits for Lake St. Clair largemouths are BOOYAH HD Spinnerbaits and XCalibur Xr50 Rattle Baits. On calm days, he'll add a Super Spook to the mix.
