Dooodle Bugs?

Having learned how well jigs tied from my dog's hair work for trout, bluegills and other kinds if fish, I really couldn't not eye Doodles, my mom's big golden doodle. Her long cream-colored hair would certainly look good in a jig, and if it turned out to appeal to fish, I could get years worth if material in a few minutes. Doodles is due a major haircut anyway, so my mom said I was welcome to bring home some hair. I believe I need to at least try some to see what kind of Doodle Bugs I can make!

Gear: Mr. Crappie Jigging Reel

I ran into Wally Marshall, Mr. Crappie himself, at the Forrest Wood Cup outdoors expo, and he showed me the new Mr. Crappie Jigging Reel that Lew's just came out with. It looked ideal for the rod-in-hand jig fishing it was designed for and also for ice fishing -- and at a really good price. I asked Wally if he could share a little about the reel on camera, which, of course, he was happy to do.
