On really cold fishing days, folks like to refer to the weather as "duck hunting weather." I suppose that's okay, because that is tomorrow's plan for me. I'll be in wading flooded timber in pursuit of wood ducks and maybe some mallards or teal. Since it's 20 outside now, I'm pretty sure it will be plenty cold ay first light!
Word is that the ducks flew pretty well this morning (better than the bass bit). We did catch a couple of bass this afternoon, and I get to give them one more shot tomorrow afternoon. Ducks first, though, and before ducks, sleep.
