The Bald River Wilderness had been in my list a long time. A place I'd long wanted to see. Today I finally got to visit the Bald, checking out its spectacular falls and then venturing a little ways into the wilderness. Being alone, I didn't venture too far back, but at least I have a feel for what of looks like now. I'd love to return with a friend and more time.
I also got to ride through Tellico River's gorge. I made a few casts in the big river and even managed one rock bass, but it's not really the best time to fish there. I'd like to return later in the year, after the delayed harvest season begins.
Tomorrow is day 1 on Chickamauga with Lee's and Larew pros. I'm ready!
