Watching Western Water Temperatures

I mentioned a couple of days ago that conditions are quickly changing in the West and vary immensely from region to region and from one sort of stream to another, even within the same area. I'm doing a lot of report watching now as I continue to refine the Rebel Trout Trek plan. Just today I read that temperatures in in several western watersheds are much higher than normal for this early in the season, causing concern and in some cases specialized temporary regulations. Montana has limited fishing hours on some of it's most acclaimed trout waters to keep anglers from catching and stressing fish through the hottest part of the day.

Just one more thing to watch as the Rebel Trout Trek draws nearer. Our departure is only 2 1/2 weeks away!
